Our French Creek Rv is located 30 min./ 50km north of westlock on fck 1.5 km east of Fawcett.
My Parents and I moved here from Boyle Alta in 1957. Cattle grazed the hills along the frc valley during my younger years. In 1980s my brother set up a saw mill on the field along the frc where our main rv campground sites are located. After the removal of the mill, I reworked the land and pastured my cattle. In about 2013 I started relandscaping the pasture area. In 2014 some of my family returned home and with great discussion we decided to start work on our campground. With lots of hard work and elbow grease our camp ground has taken shape.
Everything has taken longer than anticipated. Services, building and orchard planting have added to the work load. We are near completion and look forward to welcome guests in the spring of 2016. Our family have enjoyed camping, swimming in the creek, fishing in summer, wildlife and tobogganing in the winter down the hills. School groups and 4-H groups have been a part of our creek offerings while our girls were growing up too.
You may ask why we decided to embark on this big project of a campground? The serenity, peacefulness and the beauty of the valley which our family have enjoyed can now be shared with our guests.
Nature at its best! Please respect our nature retreat so everyone can enjoy it for years to come.
