Make French Creek Your Home Base

One of the advantages of having a seasonal site is that you don’t have to pack up the RV every time you want a new adventure.

Leave your RV set up at French Creek, head out for the day and come home to your own site that evening.

From golf and fishing to lakes, trails, museums and small-town exploring, there’s plenty to discover around Fawcett and the surrounding region.

Golf & Dining Next Door

You don’t have to travel far for your first outing.

Hidden Valley Golf Course is it is right next door and combines a scenic 9-hole golf course with clubhouse dining.

Play a round, stop for something to eat and still be back at your campsite without turning it into an all-day road trip.

Discover Fawcett

French Creek RV is located in the Fawcett area of Northern Alberta, approximately 50 km north of Westlock.

Fawcett sits between the Pembina River and Highways 44 and 663, surrounded by the kind of countryside that makes this part of Alberta such a great place to spend the summer.

Spend a Day at the Lake

Pack the fishing gear, canoe or kayak and make a day of it.

Fawcett Lake offers fishing and boating opportunities, while Fawcett Lake Provincial Recreation Area provides access for fishing, kayaking and canoeing as well as picnic and day-use facilities.

Fawcett Lake is particularly associated with walleye fishing, along with northern pike and yellow perch.

Explore the Outdoors

Looking for somewhere different to stretch your legs?

Westlock County highlights nearby Hubert Lake Conservation Area for hiking, while the Pembina River provides another destination for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.

That means your seasonal site can become a starting point for a different outdoor adventure whenever you feel like exploring.

Take a Trip Into Westlock

Head south to Westlock for shopping, supplies, restaurants, recreation and a change of scenery.

For something different, visit the Canadian Tractor Museum or Westlock Pioneer Museum. The Tractor Museum showcases Alberta’s agricultural history, while the Pioneer Museum features extensive collections connected with the region’s past.

Westlock also offers parks, walking trails, an aquatic centre and the Rotary Spirit Centre.

Bring the Golf Clubs

If one course isn’t enough, Westlock Golf Club offers an 18-hole championship course, driving range and practice facilities, along with an on-site restaurant.

So golfers can play nearby at Fawcett or make a day trip into Westlock for another course.

Adventure at Your Own Pace

That’s one of the advantages of seasonal camping.

Spend one weekend exploring.

Spend the next at the lake.

Play golf.

Go fishing.

Head into town.

Or don’t leave French Creek at all.

Your RV is already set up and waiting when you get home.
